Five beauty stories worth knowing about this week, with body care, clever new formats and a major moment for one of Dubai’s biggest beauty names.
Huda Kattan is receiving Beautyworld Dubai’s Icon Award

Huda Kattan will receive the Beautyworld Icon Award, the highest honour presented at the Beautyworld Dubai Awards, recognising a career that took a beauty blog started in Dubai and turned it into one of the industry’s biggest global brands.
Huda was among the first generation of creators to turn an online following into an international beauty business, building Huda Beauty from Dubai at a time when few global beauty brands originated in this part of the world.
“I’m so honoured to receive the Beautyworld Icon Award,” Huda said of the recognition, crediting the region as both her home and the place where she was able to make her mark on the beauty industry.
The award will be presented on October 7 at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, during Beautyworld Dubai, which runs from October 6 to 8 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
SOHL SKIN puts hand cream in a twist stick

Six weeks after making its debut with facial mask sticks, Dubai born SOHL SKIN is taking its signature format beyond the face. Its new Wild Rose Moisturising Hand Stick and Bamboo Mist Hydrating Hand Stick replace the usual tube of hand cream with a solid formula that twists up and glides directly across the skin.
Wild Rose combines shea butter, olive fruit oil, baobab seed oil and rose extract to moisturise and condition dry hands. Bamboo Mist takes a lighter approach with panthenol, meadowfoam seed oil, shea butter and cedar extract. Both are designed to be massaged in after application without leaving an oily or greasy finish.

Santa Maria Novella makes a case for the humble bar of soap

Bringing more than eight centuries of Florentine craftsmanship to one of the simplest rituals in the home, Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella presents its collection of artisanal soaps turning an everyday hand-washing essential into a small moment of luxury.
Crafted with the Maison’s signature attention to quality and tradition, each soap brings its own sensorial character to the sink, making even the most ordinary daily ritual feel beautifully elevated.
The Olive Oil Soap is fragrance-free and uses olive oil for a gentle cleanse, Almond Soap is enriched with sweet almond oil and carries a delicate powdery scent and the Vellutina Soap takes things richer with milk and honey, bringing a creamier character to the collection.

Santa Maria Novella brings Melograno to the bath

invites you to rediscover the art of the evening ritual with its Melograno Bath Salts, translating one of the Florentine house’s best known compositions into bath care.
Inspired by the pomegranate, a longstanding symbol of abundance across Mediterranean and Eastern cultures, the salts combine mineral rich crystals with Melograno’s distinctive citrus and floral profile. Dissolved into warm bath water, they offer another way to experience the historic composition beyond traditional fragrance.
