For the third edition of its Counter Culture series, piehaus has teamed up with acclaimed chef Salam Daqqaq, founder of Bait Maryam and Sufret Maryam, to bring Levantine comfort food into the bakery’s signature hand-stretched phyllo pies.

The collaboration is led by the Musakhan Pie, inspired by the much-loved Palestinian dish of roast chicken, caramelised onions, fragrant spices and toasted pine nuts. Created alongside piehaus founder Stasha Toncev and Executive Chef Milan Jurkovic, the limited-edition menu celebrates the familiar flavours of the Levant while presenting them in an entirely new format.

Try Girl & the Goose’s New Summer Menus

If Central American cuisine has been on your must-try list, now is a good time to book a table at Girl & the Goose. Throughout July and August, Chef Gabriela Chamorro is introducing two limited-time set menus that bring together some of the restaurant’s signature dishes alongside newer additions inspired by Central American street food.

The two-course lunch menu (AED 119) lets diners choose between a starter and main or a main and dessert, with highlights including Guatemalan Lychee Seabass, Duck Pappardelle Pasta and Grilled Prawn Tacos. For dinner, the three-course menu (AED 249) offers dishes such as Tuna Akami Tartare, Achiote Miso Seabass, Gigi’s Steak & Frites and Chicken Baleada before ending on a sweet note with desserts like Hojuelas Mille-Feuille or Sweet Yoltamal with Tarragon Ice Cream.

Celebrate Three Years of The Big Chill Café

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to revisit The Big Chill Café, its latest anniversary campaign might be it. To mark three years in the UAE, the much-loved café has introduced Everyone’s a Winner, a dining experience where every participating table walks away with a surprise reward.

Among the new additions are the Maple Sea Salt Iced Latte, combining espresso, coconut milk and maple with a touch of sea salt, the vibrant Blue Sky Matcha blended with blue spirulina, and an Iced Matcha with Coconut Foam that’s made for warm afternoons. Book a Table at Dubai Design District’s Newest Restaurant

Dubai Design District has welcomed a new all-day dining destination with the opening of La Lupa, the first permanent restaurant from the team behind luxury catering company MonChef. Inspired by the coastal regions of France and Italy, the new concept is designed to take guests from breakfast through dinner with a menu centred around handmade cooking and Mediterranean flavours.

Fresh pasta is made in-house daily, while the wood-fired oven turns out dishes such as Pappardelle al Tartufo, Ravioli di Mele filled with four cheeses, and Poulet à la Bordelaise. Earlier in the day, expect breakfast favourites including Eggs Benedict, nourishing bowls and Pain Perdu, alongside specialty coffees and house drinks.
