New York Fashion Week’s Spring summer 2027 Season officially arrived on September 10, but the fashion set was already in celebration mode. Ralph Lauren, Cult Gaia, and Coach, set the tone ahead of the official calendar, bringing together a distinctly star studded crowd and plenty of fashion moments to match.
At Ralph Lauren, the designer offered his signature take on romance with an irreverent edge, drawing names including Viola Davis and Cynthia Erivo to the front row. Meanwhile, Coach marked its 85th anniversary with a lineup of celebrity guests, including Elle Fanning and Storm Reid who traded birthday cake for standout looks, turning the streets and front rows of New York into a runway of their own.

The celebrity crowd arrived in a palette of rich neutrals, perfectly in step with the house’s understated glamour. Cynthia Erivo brought a military edge to the occasion, Meghann Fahy played with proportions in a tucked-in turtleneck, while Viola Davis made a compelling case for the season’s cashmere-and-leather combination.
With New York Fashion Week now officially underway, the city’s sidewalks are proving almost as compelling as the runways themselves. Celebrity dressing has become its own form of fashion week theatre, with A-listers moving from show to show in looks that feel as considered as anything coming down the catwalk. Day one saw new artistic director Henry Zankov make his debut at Diane von Furstenberg, while the city’s fashion fixtures drew their own constellation of familiar faces from Calvin Klein and Michael to Tommy Hilfiger.

Fresh from the US Open courts, the star athlete swapped tennis whites for a feather-trimmed little black dress, a glamorous departure that felt perfectly at home in Simkhai’s front row.

Outside Calvin Klein, Rosalia elated the humble tank top with her signature pop star sensibility. Pairing the everyday staple with a sleek satin column skirt. Complete with pockets for an effortless mix of simplicity and glamour.

Calvin Klein’s minimalist vocabulary felt particularly suited to Pamela Anderson on September 11. She embraced the house’s less is more sensibility in a sleek square neck mini dress, pointed black pumps and coordinating clutch a study in pared back elegance with unmistakable polish.

After making an early week appearance at Cult Gaia, Katie Holmes brought her signature ease to Calvin Klein, arriving alongside rumored boyfriend Jason Bard Yarmosky. A crisp white Oxford shirt met a softly contrasting cream tea- length skirt, while sleek high – vamp flats grounded the look with a distinctly polished understated finish.

New York Fashion Week’s boldest color made its way into Teyana Taylor’s look with the former Marie Claire cover star embracing a full length rich red suede trench coat with a sculptural hat.

Jordyn Woods opened her NewYork Fashion Week with an understated appearance in Tommy Hilfiger’s front row, opting for the kind of effortless polish she knows well.
A day later she shifted gears entirely, embracing a more maximalist mood in a feathered tank, graphic black and white pencil skirt, and fuzzy footwear that brought texture from head to toe.

The season’s red color trend made Gabriella Union impossible to miss outside the Michael Kors Show, where she brought the bold hue into sharp focus with a look that commanded attention.

At Tory Burch, Amanda Seyfried made a compelling case for the unexpected pairing of chartreuse and chocolate brown. The Dropout star tempered the vibrant combination with rich, moody accessories grounding the look with a quilted flab suede bag and sleek peep toe pumps.

At Tommy Hilfiger, Camila Cabello played with the season’s transitional dressing, pairing a crisp white tank top with a coordinating knit set. White socks styled with matching stilettos added an unexpected twist, giving the polished look a youthful, distinctly modern finish.

In the front row at TWP’s show, Martha Stewart and Kelly Rutherford offered two distinct takes on understated elegance. Stewart arrived in a camel coat layered over a sweeping maxi skirt. While Rutherford opted for a refined gray sweater set as the pair took in the collection together.
