When I think of hair appointments, I picture salon chairs, mirrors and the usual flurry of activity around me so I was pleasantly surprised when King Coco‘s Golden Repair Ritual at Promise Hair Spa had me stretched out on a reclining treatment bed, gently massaging away at my shoulders and back while my scalp treatment got underway.
The two-hour King Coco Golden Repair Ritual is built around one hero ingredient: King Coco’s rare Golden King Coconut Oil from Sri Lanka. Unlike the thick coconut oil many of us grew up with, this version is remarkably lightweight. The brand describes it as being up to three times lighter than traditional coconut oil, absorbing into the hair without leaving behind the greasy heaviness often associated with oil treatments.
While the glossy finish and softer strands were certainly appreciated, it was the experience itself that stole the show. The experience began with a personalised hair consultation. Rather than jumping straight into the treatment, my therapist took the time to assess my hair concerns and explain each step of the process.
