Italian superyacht builder Baglietto has made waves once again, unveiling the latest and boldest vessel in its DOM133 fleet. Christened Sui Generis, the 133-foot superyacht distinguishes itself from its predecessors with a dramatic cobalt blue exterior, setting a daring new benchmark in bespoke yacht design.
Based in La Spezia, Baglietto has been delivering yachts from its DOM133 series since 2022, but Sui Generis is a visual and technical outlier, in the best possible way. Wrapped entirely in aluminium and cloaked in deep blue from hull to superstructure, the yacht presents an arresting silhouette that signals luxury with personality.
The project was penned by Stefano Vafiadis, whose signature style is evident in the yacht’s fluid, modern lines and open-plan layout. As with other models in the DOM133 series, Sui Generis features expansive interior volumes, broad glass panels, and fold-down terraces that invite the sea into every space. However, this particular yacht pushes the envelope even further, boasting a fully bespoke layout tailored down to the finest detail.

Among its standout features is a reimagined lower deck, where two VIP staterooms have been fitted with a flexible partition system, allowing the owner to transform the area into a second master suite as required. Further architectural refinements, such as the repositioning of the main staircase, create space for statement artworks, while also enabling a more fluid transition between communal areas.
The sun deck is where things get particularly exciting. In addition to the yacht’s lower-deck infinity pool, a custom-built pool has been added to the upper deck, a rare indulgence even among vessels of this calibre. Together, they add a multi-layered dynamic to onboard leisure, offering distinct experiences depending on one’s mood or the view.
Sui Generis is powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, propelling her to a brisk 17 knots at top speed and a comfortable 15 knots when cruising. This makes her not just a floating palace, but a capable cruiser, ready to explore the seas with elegance and efficiency.
“This vessel represents the pinnacle of what the DOM133 line can offer,” said Fabio Ermetto, Chief Commercial Officer at Baglietto. “We’ve created something that’s modern, elegant, and fundamentally owner-driven.”

Since debuting its first 133-foot yacht Attitude, Baglietto has steadily grown its DOM133 fleet to nine vessels, each with its own unique twist, while remaining faithful to the yard’s core design philosophy. Sui Generis, with its fearless palette and refined customisations, is perhaps the purest distillation of that spirit to date.
Baglietto’s 2025 has already proven prolific, with seven launches so far this year, including new additions to its T52 and DOM115 lines. But it is Sui Generis that has captured the industry’s imagination, not only for its striking aesthetics, but for its affirmation of how far custom yacht building can go when vision meets craftsmanship.
As the superyacht industry increasingly shifts towards personalised, design-led builds, Sui Generis stands as a bold reminder: individuality at sea is not only possible, it’s in high demand.
