If you’re passionate about meat and enjoy a dining experience that feels both exciting and intimate, Carna by Dario Cecchini should definitely be on your radar. From the moment you arrive to the final bite, the whole evening feels like something special.
The Venue
Carna has a bold and stylish interior, with plush velvet seating, statement chandeliers, and thoughtfully designed private dining areas. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between high-end and welcoming. It is lively, with the buzz of happy diners all around, yet still manages to feel relaxed. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home from the start.

The Food Highlights
We went for the Four-Course Menu, which felt like a curated journey through Dario Cecchini’s world of meat. Each course had its own charm, but a few moments really stood out.
The absolute highlight was the Steak Tartare. We were invited into a side room to watch the chefs prepare it in front of us. It felt like a private performance, with every step explained and executed with precision. It made the dish even more enjoyable, and the tartare itself was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned.

The other starters, including the Bollito Croquette and Braised Short Ribs Bombolone, were rich and satisfying. For the mains, we had the Butter Whisky Bistecca Alla Fiorentina and the Australian Black Angus Long Fed T-Bone. Both were beautifully cooked and served with hearty sides like chunky chips, grilled vegetables, and a zesty chimichurri.
One of the more surprising highlights was the Toscani Liver. Marinated in milk and garlic for four days, it had a wonderfully smooth texture and deep, comforting flavour. It is not something we would usually order, but we were so glad we did.
To top it all off, Dario Cecchini himself was present in the restaurant, moving from table to table, chatting with guests and sharing stories. His enthusiasm and genuine love for what he does brought a lovely personal touch to the evening.

The Verdict
Carna by Dario Cecchini is much more than a meal. It is an experience that celebrates the craft of meat preparation, full of flavour, warmth, and theatre. With its inviting setting, outstanding food, and that unforgettable tartare show, it is a must-visit for steak lovers or anyone looking for a memorable night out.
