After the Zenith Award Season, I needed a break.
A long break.
A break where I did absolutely nothing. And I mean nothing! Except relax of course.
So I jumped online and booked a 9-day holiday to a resort in Agadir, Morocco – and here’s why you need to visit!
If you’re looking for a vibrant, family-friendly all-inclusive getaway in Agadir, Valeria Jardins D’Agadir Resort could be just the place. This resort blends Moroccan charm with a lively atmosphere, and it offers something for everyone—from spacious pools and a well-kept waterpark for the kids, to themed dinners and nightly entertainment for adults.
Here’s what you can expect from a stay at Valeria Jardins, including highlights and a few things to keep in mind.
The Resort:
The resort is set among lush gardens and designed with Moroccan-inspired architecture that gives it an authentic and charming vibe. Walking through the grounds, you’ll notice the care that’s gone into maintaining the greenery, and the palm-lined paths make you feel like you’re really in a secluded getaway. Each room is located within one of ten beautiful riad-style complexes, blending traditional charm with modern comfort. Each riad offers a unique, intimate setting, featuring classic Moroccan architecture with courtyards, intricate tilework, and lush greenery, creating an authentic and serene retreat.
Remember to ask for a ground floor room because if you can’t climb three flights of stairs to get to your room on the 3rd floor, you might have a problem. NB: There are no lifts available.
The Food:
The food options are quite varied, with a nice balance between international dishes and Moroccan specialties. The main buffet keeps things interesting with themed nights, so we got to try different cuisines over our stay. Moroccan nights, in particular, are a hit, offering authentic flavours and dishes like tagines and couscous that let you experience the local culture. The breakfast spread is also satisfying, with plenty of fresh pastries, made-to-order omelets, and fruit. However, if you’re staying for more than a few days, you might find the buffet selections a bit repetitive, but overall, the quality is good with fresh flavours.
The Entertainment:
Entertainment is a big part of the experience here, and the resort’s animation team does a great job of creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. During the day, there are activities like table tennis tournaments and aqua aerobics, and in the evenings, the entertainment continues with live shows and performances.
Meet Hicham
Hicham has been working as an Animator in the entertainment team at Valeria Jardins D’Agadir for the past 4 months.
Zenith: What’s the best part of your job?
Hicham: I like to meet new people and find out new cultures from across the world. When you meet some form London for example, they give you ideas about how people live there and I love learning about that.
Zenith: What is the best thing about Agadir?
I would say the people. And the beach, we have a lot of beaches to relax on which overlook the ocean.
Zenith: Can you give me three reasons why you should visit Agadir?
Easy! The food. The weather. The sea.
The Pool/Waterpark:
The main pool area is a real highlight. It’s large, with both sunny and shaded spots, so there’s room for everyone whether you’re looking to soak up the sun or relax in the shade. For families, the waterpark is a fantastic feature. The slides and play areas are perfect for kids of all ages, and it’s well-supervised, which makes parents feel more at ease. With a range of different slides and splash areas, there’s enough to keep kids entertained for hours.
The Rooms:
The rooms at Valeria Jardins D’Agadir Resort are thoughtfully designed for comfort, featuring Moroccan-inspired decor with authentic tilework and earthy tones that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each room is spacious, offering either a king-size bed or twin beds with soft, high-quality linens that make for a cozy night’s rest. Rooms come with a private balcony or terrace—many of which overlook the resort’s lush gardens or pool area—perfect for morning coffee or an evening sunsets.
Make sure you ask for a second pillow as each bed only have one. Don’t make the mistake I did.
