Mark the Mid-Autumn Festival Over Mooncakes and Crab
Dubai’s Mid-Autumn Festival menus offer two ways to join the celebration from 25 to 27 September.
China Tang at The Lana Promenade is serving a three-piece set inspired by the story of Chang’e and Hou Yi. It includes a traditional red bean paste mooncake and two rabbit-shaped mooncakes filled with chocolate and hazelnut paste. The set costs AED 78, or AED 98 with tea.
MEI at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam has created a wider sharing menu with crab at its centre. Dishes include black truffle king crab soup, snow crab dumplings, spicy crab rolls and Alaskan king crab, followed by a mooncake dessert priced at AED 50. The full menu will also be served at SHI on Bluewaters Island, while the dessert is available at MEI, SHI and MOLI.

Learn to Make Korean Jeon at Smoki Moto
Smoki Moto is marking Chuseok, Korea’s harvest festival, with a masterclass dedicated to jeon. During the three-hour session, the restaurant’s culinary team will show participants how to prepare several versions of the savoury Korean pancakes while sharing the techniques and traditions associated with the dish.

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Speakeasy
Speakeasy Bar & Restaurant is serving a German-inspired menu for Oktoberfest, with dishes ranging from the Giant Pretzilla with beer cheese, sweet mustard and garlic butter to the Original Brat and one-metre sausage loaded with sauerkraut, crispy onions and German mustard. Summersalt at Jumeirah Al Naseem opens for the season on 28 September, bringing back its Latin American-inspired restaurant and beachfront club overlooking Burj Al Arab.

Marugame Udon has opened its fourth Dubai location inside Dubai Mall, bringing its open-kitchen format to Downtown Dubai. Noodles are made in-store using flour, water and salt, giving diners a clear view of the process before they move along the counter to build their meal.
The menu centres on Sanuki-style udon bowls such as Kake Udon and Bukkake Udon, with freshly prepared tempura, Japanese rice bowls, sides, complimentary toppings and mochi desserts also available.
