As someone who grew up completely fascinated by bunk beds, loft spaces and anything involving multiple levels in one room, duplexes have always had a strange hold over me. There’s something truly enchanting about duplex spaces that captured my imagination when I was a child and admittedly, that feeling has never really gone away.
That is probably why I was practically vibrating with anticipation before my stay in the Duplex Club Suite at Sheraton The Walk and let me tell you, it absolutely delivered on everything I could have hoped for and more and ended up being the highlight of the stay.

The first thing that struck me when we entered was the sheer scale and clever design of the space. This wasn’t just a room with a loft, it was a proper two-story apartment-esque space. The ground floor featured a comfortable living room with plush sofas, a work desk and a full kitchen that was surprisingly well-equipped, we’re talking a full-size refrigerator, microwave, stovetop and all the cookware you could need, plus a dedicated laundry room with a washing machine.
The upper level housed the bedroom with a luxurious king-sized bed and ample storage space. What I loved most was the way the space flowed, you could be cooking downstairs while someone relaxed upstairs, creating this wonderful sense of separation within the same area. The attention to detail was impressive too, from the high-quality linens to the thoughtful lighting that made both levels feel warm and inviting.
As someone who’s always been drawn to vertical spaces and the unique perspective they offer, the duplex suite felt like a dream come true and it had that same sense of adventure and novelty that bunk beds held for me as a kid. The two levels also came with two very different views.
Upstairs, the bedroom framed the beach and sea, while downstairs opened onto views of the marina and the neighbourhood below. It was a small detail, but it made the suite feel even larger, as though each floor had its own personality. I found myself repeatedly walking up and down the staircase simply because it made the room feel different from the standard hotel layout I am used to.
Our full-board stay included dinner at Fogueira, which offered an authentic churrasco experience. The experience follows the traditional rodizio format, with servers circulating through the restaurant offering a variety of grilled meats directly at the table. Along with a generous selection from the buffet, accompanied by live entertainment.

Breakfast and lunch were served at Jones the Grocer. The breakfast spread was particularly noteworthy, with an excellent selection of fresh fruits, breads, sweet treats and made-to-order omelettes. The lunch menu offered good variety of a la carte dishes, made with fresh ingredients that satisfied our appetite without feeling heavy. While it wasn’t gourmet-level cuisine, it was consistently good and definitely above average for hotel dining.
What stood out throughout the stay was the hospitality. From the moment we checked in, every member of the staff we encountered was warm, welcoming, and happy to assist.

The location of Sheraton The Walk is also worth mentioning. Situated on Dubai’s famous Walk at JBR, it offers easy access to the beach, restaurants and shopping, but still manages to maintain a sense of tranquility that’s rare in such a bustling area.
For a one-day stay, Sheraton The Walk managed to create a memorable experience that felt much longer. The duplex alone would make me go back and keeo going back, it’s that special. The combination of a unique accommodation, good food and warm service created the perfect blend of comfort and luxury.
If you’re looking for something beyond the standard hotel experience in Dubai, especially if you appreciate interesting architecture and spaces that tell a story, the Duplex Club Suite at Sheraton The Walk is absolutely worth considering. Oh and did I mention the hotel’s pet friendly as well? You could make a day out of it with your friends, family or fur babies.
My stay at Sheraton The Walk may have been brief, but the Duplex Club Suite created an experience that will stay with me.
