YSL Beauty puts its new foundation in a very good-looking compact

YSL Beauty has a new cushion foundation, and there is almost as much happening outside the formula as there is inside it. The Skin Affair Soft Glow Cushion Foundation arrives in 31 shades, offering buildable coverage that can move from a light, tint-like layer to a fuller base while retaining a soft-focus glow. Dua Lipa fronts the accompanying campaign.
The formula contains 3% squalane, polyglutamic acid, niacinamide and jasmine petals, with a lightweight texture designed to add hydration and remain easy to touch up throughout the day.
Then there is the compact. YSL has dressed the cushion in pearly pink quilting with an oversized Cassandre logo, complete with a black application puff finished with a gold Cassandre detail. A matching pearly-pink silicone case with a gold keychain can turn the compact into a bag or belt charm, and will be offered as a gift with purchase at selected locations.
Shark Beauty brings the facial machine home

Shark Beauty is expanding its skincare line-up in the UAE with FacialPro Glow, an at-home system that combines exfoliation, cleansing, hydration and depuffing in a routine that takes around 10 minutes.
The device uses a dual-pump system and hydra-abrasion tips to exfoliate while infusing the skin with moisture, but the Depuffi attachment is where things get particularly interesting. Inspired by gua sha, it uses InstaChill and InstaHeat technology across six temperature-controlled levels to introduce hot-and-cold contrast therapy into the routine.
Two formulas come with the system: Derm Detox, made with glycolic and salicylic acids, and Hydro Infuse, which combines hyaluronic acid with a firming peptide complex. FacialPro Glow is available in the UAE for AED 1,499.
Makeup by Mario turns soft shimmer into a cream shadow

Mario Dedivanovic’s softly defined eye has a new route in. Makeup by Mario Soft Shimmer Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadows arrive in eight warm and cool earth-inspired shades, with a pearly finish and a formula that can be applied with fingers or a brush.
The coverage can be kept sheer for a wash of shimmer, built up for greater depth or used as a base underneath powder eyeshadow. Smoothing Amino Acid and Spherical Powders give the formula its silky texture, while the shadows are designed to be crease-proof and resistant to sweat and humidity.
The collection is priced at AED 135 and is available at Sephora stores across the Middle East and online at Sephora UAE.
Kosas wants to take away shine, not glow

Setting powder can easily flatten everything underneath it, which is precisely what Kosas Cloud Set Loose Powder is trying to avoid. The ultra-translucent formula promises up to 12 hours of setting and shine control, while blurring the appearance of pores and fine lines without leaving skin looking cakey, powdery or dry.
The latest news is an expanded shade range. Four new complexion shades, Translucent Sway, Fluttery, Toasty and Cozy, join existing Velvety, taking the complexion offering from very light through rich-deep skin tones. Three colour-correcting brightening shades, Candy, Buttery and Peachy, sit alongside them.
Bamboo stem extract helps absorb excess sebum, while the formula is talc-free, non-comedogenic and free from silicone and fragrance. The new shades launch this September exclusively at Sephora Middle East.
Vaseline makes moisturiser feel like a cloud

Vaseline is playing with texture for Cloud Soft Light Moisturiser, a new formula designed for both the face and body. Its cloud-to-cream texture begins airy and weightless before melting into the skin, absorbing quickly without the sticky finish associated with heavier creams.
The formula combines ceramides and hyaluron to support the skin barrier and deliver hydration, with Vaseline claiming up to 100 hours of moisturisation. Its lightweight finish also allows it to sit underneath makeup or SPF without adding another heavy layer.
