Dubai’s retail scene just got a major Gen Z upgrade. California-born fashion label Pacsun has officially opened its first-ever international store in Mall of the Emirates, marking the brand’s first physical retail location outside the United States and its debut in the Middle East.
Known for its laid-back West Coast aesthetic and close ties to youth culture, Pacsun arrives in Dubai with a store designed to feel far bigger than a traditional shopping destination. Along with its signature denim, graphic tees, hoodies, swimwear and accessories, the space leans heavily into music, art and community-driven experiences, reflecting the brand’s long-standing connection to creative subcultures.

The opening celebrations on May 27 brought that energy to life with a large-scale Eid launch event that turned the store into a buzzing social hub for creators, influencers and shoppers. Regional music sensation Al Shami made a special appearance during the evening, taking part in a fan meet-and-greet while live DJs and interactive activations kept the atmosphere lively throughout the event.
A standout part of the launch was Pacsun’s “Create With Us” concept, developed in collaboration with the UAE-based Pacsun Launch Lab. The initiative brought together 55 Gen Z creatives from across the region who contributed to the opening through visuals, content creation and activation ideas, giving the Dubai store a distinctly local identity despite the brand’s California roots.

Founded in Newport Beach, California in 1980, Pacsun has built a strong global following through its mix of streetwear, activewear and trend-led fashion, often collaborating with artists, musicians and emerging brands connected to youth culture. Its arrival in Dubai signals the growing demand for experience-led retail concepts that blend fashion with entertainment and community.
The new Pacsun store is now open at Mall of the Emirates.
