No One Sits Still at Lucky Voice

I didn’t really know what to expect from my visit to Lucky Voice. I don’t drink, I don’t sing, and my idea of brunch usually involves eggs, OJ and conversation. What I walked into was closer to a low-key concert, complete with inflatable props, people on stage belting their hearts out, and a room that felt more like a music video than a mid-afternoon meal. And honestly? I was into it.

The Setting:
Located in the heart of Barsha Heights, Lucky Voice is far from your typical Dubai brunch venue. It’s one giant party hall with no real line between diners and performers,
The Retro Rewind Brunch runs every Saturday from 1 to 4 PM, and while the music and mic steal the spotlight, the food and service more than hold their own. Plates come out in waves, sliders, nachos and wings, the kind of comfort food you can easily share and snack on between songs.

The Food:
There’s no buffet to queue for, just a steady stream of shareables that show up like clockwork, and the way everything just appears at the table makes it easier to stay in the moment. I went with the soft package and never once felt like I was missing out. The mocktails were fun (shoutout to the pina colada that tasted like a tropical holiday), and the energy was constantly high. The staff were just as much a part of the experience, dancing, laughing, handing out props, and somehow always there with the next round before guests even thought to ask.

The Entertainment:
Oh, and in case it isn’t obvious by now, yes, there’s karaoke. Not the tucked-away-in-a-booth kind, either. This is full-stage, lights-up, mic-in-hand karaoke. The DJ and host kept the energy dialled all the way up, cracking jokes, hyping the crowd, and somehow making every table feel like it had front-row seats to the coolest party in town.

When people got up to sing, it wasn’t shy or half-hearted. It was bold, dramatic, and a few performances could easily pass for something you’d see on stage at an actual gig. I didn’t dare go up, my singing voice is strictly reserved for solo car rides, but watching the fearless karaoke warriors work the stage was entertainment in itself.

The Verdict
The food is satisfyingly indulgent, but this isn’t just about what’s on your plate. Lucky Voice has flipped the idea of a Saturday brunch on its head and turned it into a full-blown weekend mood. And let me tell you, it delivers on the vibes.

Now, a word of advice from someone who made the bold decision to brunch solo: don’t!!  This isn’t the venue for your self-love solo dates or meditative musings over mimosas. It’s for loud laughter, inside jokes, and rounds of “one more drink?” with your tribe.

So, bring your crew unless you’re emotionally prepared to sing Since U Been Gone to a crowd of strangers or sit eating in isolation.

Would I go back? Absolutely. Maybe next time, I’ll even warm up my vocal cords. No promises.
