Forget Dinner. Dubai’s Newest Opening Wants Your Entire Evening

As RASPOUTINE enters a new chapter in Dubai, its latest concept turns its attention to the hours before midnight, bringing Mediterranean dining, skyline views and a slower rhythm to DIFC.

There is a particular moment in Dubai when the city seems to change character.

The working day begins to loosen its grip, the heat softens, towers catch the final light and the first tables of the evening begin to fill. It is neither quite day nor night. And for SOLENA by RASPOUTINE, it is precisely the point.

Opening in DIFC this October, SOLENA represents a new expression of the world created by RASPOUTINE, the internationally recognised nightlife name known for its distinctly after-dark energy.

This time, however, the story begins earlier.

Created by RASPOUTINE co-owners Logan Maggio and Alexander Ghislain in partnership with UAE hospitality company AlphaMind Group, SOLENA has been conceived around the transition from late afternoon into evening. Think after-work drinks that become dinner, dinner that becomes another bottle, and a soundtrack that quietly persuades you to stay.

It is RASPOUTINE with the tempo turned down, but not the atmosphere.

Before the Night Begins

RASPOUTINE has long understood the theatre of nightlife. Its world is built around music, people and the intangible electricity that transforms a room once the night gets underway.

SOLENA explores what happens before that.

“Raspoutine has always been about much more than nightlife,” Maggio and Ghislain explain. “It is about atmosphere, people, music and creating a certain feeling. With SOLENA, we wanted to explore another side of that world: something more relaxed, beginning at sunset and evolving naturally through dinner and into the evening.”

That distinction is important.

SOLENA is not intended to replicate the club experience under daylight. Instead, it takes the sensibility behind RASPOUTINE and translates it into something more languid: a restaurant where the pleasure lies as much in lingering as it does in arriving.

The result feels particularly suited to Dubai, a city where dining has increasingly become less about the conventional boundaries of lunch and dinner and more about creating an entire evening around a single destination.

The View from DIFC

Then there is the setting.

An expansive terrace opens towards DIFC and the surrounding skyline, positioning SOLENA within one of Dubai’s most energetic districts while attempting to create a world slightly removed from the pace below.

As afternoon becomes dusk, marble flooring catches the fading light. Curved tables form intimate pockets around the space, while high seating gathers around a statement bar at its centre.

The architecture has been designed around the way the venue is expected to evolve throughout the evening.

At five o’clock, it might be a drink after work.

An hour later, dinner.

Later still, the resident DJ has shifted the mood, the skyline is illuminated and leaving suddenly feels less urgent.

Music, naturally, remains part of the RASPOUTINE DNA. But at SOLENA it serves a different purpose. Rather than announcing the arrival of the night, it accompanies it, gradually building as the evening finds its rhythm.

There is deliberately no dramatic point at which SOLENA transforms from one thing into another.

SOLENA by RASPOUTINE is scheduled to open in DIFC at the end of October 2026, operating Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm onwards.
