A year after opening at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, SANA is preparing to mark its first anniversary with a celebration that brings its Uzbek identity to the forefront. Taking place on 1 October, the event will move from a traditional welcome and celebratory dinner to live entertainment and a late night afterparty at Moon Bar.
The evening begins at 7 pm, when a traditional Uzbek band will perform as guests enter the restaurant. Hostesses dressed in Uzbek robes will welcome them with sparkling wine, while a live illustrator creates personalised sketches between 7 pm and 10 pm. Together, these details introduce guests to the culture behind SANA before dinner begins.
From 7.30 pm, diners can choose between the restaurant’s à la carte selection and a special anniversary set menu priced at AED 450 per person. The meal will build towards one of the evening’s main moments at 8.30 pm, when a slow-roasted leg of lamb is unveiled through a theatrical presentation accompanied by a belly dance performance set to Uzbek music.
Live entertainment continues with Sculer Band, who will take the stage from 9 pm to 10 pm. An anniversary cake will follow, bringing the restaurant portion of the celebration to a close before the gathering moves elsewhere.
From 11pm, Moon Bar will host the official afterparty, with headline DJs BKOFMAN and ARKOV taking over for the final part of the night.
