6 Festive Interior Trends to Elevate Your Home in 2025

As the festive season approaches, luxury interiors take centre stage. Sedar Global Interiors has unveiled six key styling directions set to shape 2025, blending refined elegance with seasonal warmth. From jewel toned opulence to crisp monochrome sophistication, these trends offer inspiration for creating a home that feels both inviting and impeccably curated.

Brand Director Nahel Selo explains, “Festive decorating isn’t about excess. It is about atmosphere and detail. Rich fabrics, thoughtful contrasts, and subtle touches breathe life into a space and set the tone for the season.”

Below you can discover the six trends that will define festive styling for 2025.

1. Jewel Tones and Metallic Magic

This season sees a shift towards sumptuous jewel tones enriched with metallic accents. Emerald, sapphire, and amethyst are paired with soft gold or silver, delivering a sense of modern glamour.

Nahel recommends beginning with understated touches. Velvet ribbons, metallic thread cushions, or Swarovski atelier designed accents can elevate an existing scheme without overwhelming it. Sedar’s velvet drapery and opulent accessories capture this mood of warm, contemporary luxury, perfect for creating a festive setting that feels indulgent yet balanced.

2. The Autumnal Festive

Bridging the transition from autumn to winter, caramel, rust, and moss greens take centre stage. Paired with aged brass and bronze, the palette creates a cocooning warmth ideal for early seasonal decorating.

“This year we are seeing a real appetite for what we call an autumn inspired festive,” Nahel says. “It takes the comfort of autumn and merges it with a gentle festive glow. The result feels layered, authentic, and lasts beautifully from October through to December.”

The effect is inviting and textural, creating a home that feels serene, grounded, and ready for gathering.

3. The Ralph Lauren Classic Crimson Revival

The much discussed Ralph Lauren inspired Christmas continues its rise, with online engagement soaring. Think evergreen tartan, polished brass, pine garlands, and timeless crimson.

In 2025, red takes on a more refined and emotive tone. Paired with striped bows or satin tiebacks, it evokes a mood of heritage luxury. “Red has incredible emotional energy,” Nahel notes. “It is bold, classic, and instantly festive.” This trend brings together tradition and sophistication in a way that remains utterly timeless.

4. White Christmas Dream

The White Christmas aesthetic offers a serene alternative, anchored by silky white tones, frosted finishes, and crystal like details.

“White doesn’t need to feel cold,” Nahel explains. “Layering textures makes the look feel luminous and full of life.” Soft sheers, velvet, pearl accents, and silver touches create a peaceful, elegant environment.

White Christmas trees are also rising in popularity, prized for their versatility. They serve as a blank canvas for white and silver minimalism or can be adorned with gold, champagne, or soft pastels for an understated glamour.

5. Vintage Nostalgia and the Kitsch Comeback

Retro charm is making an unapologetic return. Searches for vintage kitschy décor are soaring across social platforms, reflecting a desire for character rich interiors and saturated colour palettes.

“This revival is a response to years of minimalism,” says Nahel. “People are craving design that tells a story.”

Sedar’s collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art embraces this spirit through pillows and wallpapers inspired by Degas, Monet, and Hokusai. The result is a harmonious mix of artistic heritage and contemporary craftsmanship, perfect for collectors of culture and colour.

6. Monochrome Magic

For those drawn to minimalist sophistication, the black and white monochrome trend offers a striking festive alternative. Crisp whites, graphite greys, and deep blacks form a palette that is refined and quietly luxurious.

“Monochrome is about balance,” Nahel says. “Offset soft greys with touches of silver or soften black with clean white details. It is elegant, pared back, and impeccably chic.”

Perfectly placed stripes, bows, and simple silhouettes enhance the look, creating a design forward aesthetic that feels both festive and modern.
