Celebrate Bastille Day at CQ French Brasserie
If you’ve been looking for an excuse to indulge in classic French cooking, Bastille Day provides the perfect opportunity. From 11 to 14 July, CQ French Brasserie is marking France’s national day with a special four-course menu showcasing many of the dishes the restaurant has become known for, served across both its JLT and Barsha Heights locations.
The menu begins with a selection of canapés before moving through French favourites including Escargots de CQ, Steak Tartare, Duck Confit Framboise, Steak Frites, Moules Frites and Poisson Frites, before ending with desserts such as Crème Brûlée, Pain Perdu and Tarte aux Pommes. Throughout July, guests can also enjoy a trio of French-inspired cocktails created in collaboration with Laurent-Perrier.

If you’ve ever wondered what goes into making perfectly paper-thin phyllo, piehaus is opening the doors to its kitchen with The Art of Phyllo, a new hands-on workshop celebrating one of the oldest baking traditions still practised entirely by hand.
Led by founder Stasha Toncev and Executive Chef Milan Jurkovic, the 90-minute experience invites guests to stretch dough by hand, shape their own pies and enjoy them fresh from the oven before taking a box of their creations home. Complete with a welcome drink and recipe card, it’s an experience that blends craftsmanship with great food.

This summer, The Bay at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is serving two limited-time dining experiences that make leisurely lunches and dinners even more tempting.
