Watch Locater: The Middle East’s First Pre-Owned Luxury Watch Sale

Rare Timepieces from Renowned Exhibitors on Display at Dubai’s One & Only Royal Mirage

In a milestone event this November, Dubai is set to elevate its standing as a global horology hub with the debut of Watch Locater, the first professional pre-owned luxury watch exhibition in the Middle East.

Running from 1st to 3rd November at the luxurious One & Only Royal Mirage, this highly anticipated event will bring together an array of coveted timepieces, solidifying Dubai’s reputation as a watch capital.

This landmark event will feature an extensive collection of rare and remarkable watches, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to acquire pieces typically difficult to find. Among the highlights are icons such as the Rolex Daytona, GMT Master, the classic Omega Speedmaster, TAG Heuer Monaco, and Patek Philippe’s legendary Nautilus and Aquanaut, along with creations by celebrated designer Gerald Genta.

Set against the backdrop of Dubai’s serene seafront, the event offers a rare setting where buyers, sellers, and enthusiasts can connect over a shared appreciation of horology. In addition to sales, the event will feature daily live auctions, led by an experienced auctioneer, where visitors can bid on select pieces. Attendees will also have the chance to sell their pre-owned watches to exhibitors, adding an interactive dimension to this horology celebration.

A Growing Demand for Certified Pre-Owned Timepieces

The pre-owned luxury watch market has surged in recent years, with a valuation of approximately $25 billion in 2023, fuelled by collectors and horology fans worldwide who seek discontinued and rare pieces.

The UAE, a renowned centre for luxury, has a booming watch market that is projected to generate nearly $3 billion in revenue in 2024, marking a growth of over 20 per cent compared to 2023.
