Ladies, you might have missed a gem in Salmon Guru. This vibrant venue has quickly made
waves in Dubai’s bustling scene, and their trendy ladies’ night is just one of the reasons you
need to add this to your list. First things first, it’s every Tuesday from 7:30pm until 10pm, located
in The Opus by Omniyat. Round up the girls and lock it in, here’s why….

Recently, celebrating its first anniversary, this cocktail haven has swiftly established itself as a
go-to spot for those in the know. As someone who recently visited for their ladies’ night, I can
attest that the buzz is well-deserved.

Salmon Guru first burst onto the scene in Madrid in 2016, known for its inventive mixology and
playful atmosphere, the Madrid outpost earned a number of accolades, including a spot on the
World’s 50 Best Bars list. Diego Cabrera, the visionary behind this unique concept, expanded
the brand to Dubai.

We’re happy to be here! It’s been a while since I ventured out-out on a Tuesday with the girls,
and as soon as I walked through the speakeasy-inspired door, there was so much to take in.
The venue’s interiors are a feast for the eyes. Stepping inside Salmon Guru Dubai is like
stepping into the 1960s, the space is divided into distinct areas, a classic tropical bar, an Asian
night market and a whimsical comic-book-inspired setting, we could hardly believe we were in
the middle of Business Bay. The design is a riot of clashing patterns and textures, capturing the
playful spirit of the bar.

The bar takes centre stage, literally. For such a small venue, the bar takes up most of it – I’m not
mad about that, it’s where all the action takes place. The open bar area is the centrepiece,
where cocktail mixers are tossed and shaken with impressive flair. The bar staff are true
artisans, crafting colourful concoctions that are as delightful to watch as they are to drink. The
cocktails themselves are a sensory delight, each one a testament to the creativity and skill that
define Salmon Guru.

We shimmy to our seats, the music has got us dancing. The atmosphere is electric, blending
vintage glamour with contemporary flair. It’s clear from the moment you walk in that this is no
ordinary bar.

Our visit coincided with ladies’ night, a highlight of the weekly calendar for many. For AED150,
guests are treated to unlimited selections of wines and cocktails, plus two starters from the
menu. This offer is nothing short of a steal, especially given the calibre of the drinks and the
setting. I opted for a few cocktails from the extensive menu, and each one was a revelation. We
tried Curry Colada – if you like a spicy drink this is for you, for something more refreshing opt for
Tzatziki, and my favourite Tutti Frutti Daiquiri, If you’re a Daiquiri lover need I say more.
Alongside the impressive drink offerings, the starters we tried were a perfect match. The menu
features a range of dishes that are designed to complement the cocktails, and the quality is
evident in every bite. We had Hens Croquettes and Chuck Beef Short Ribs Taco Bao. The food
is both inventive and delicious, further enhancing the overall experience.

One of the standout features of the evening was the live music. From 7:30pm until 10pm on
Tuesdays, the DJ keeps the vibe lively with a mix of tunes that perfectly complement the
energetic atmosphere. The music adds an extra layer of enjoyment, making it an ideal backdrop
for a fun, carefree night out.

Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or simply looking for a fun night out, this venue should be
high on your list.
