Corteiz x Supreme: The drop you need to know about

In a move that has set the streetwear world abuzz, Corteiz and Supreme have announced a collaboration, initially hinted at by a mysterious billboard in West London. The billboard, bathed in Supreme’s iconic red and showcasing a unique blend of Corteiz’s Alcatraz-influenced logo, sparked widespread speculation and excitement.

This highly anticipated collaboration was confirmed through an Instagram announcement, revealing a collection that epitomizes urban style. The range includes oversized hoodies and T-shirts, all featuring a bold, co-branded design that echoes the imagery from the billboard, proclaiming “Supreme Rules the World.” Adding a literary touch, the reverse side of the items features John Donne’s poignant verse ‘No Man Is An Island’ in a striking handwritten script, capped with Supreme’s renowned box logo.

The brainchild behind Corteiz, British-Nigerian entrepreneur Clint, known as Clint419, has steered the brand to a meteoric rise in just six years. This unexpected pairing with Supreme, while initially surprising, aligns with Corteiz’s reputation for making bold, impactful moves in the fashion world.

Earlier this year, the Corteiz logo was projected onto Nike’s flagship store on Oxford Street, initially interpreted as a cheeky jab due to past tensions between the brands. This move, however, foreshadowed another major collaboration, the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95, which quickly became one of 2023’s most sought-after sneakers.

The Corteiz x Supreme collection is slated for an exclusive launch on December 21 at a yet-to-be-revealed location in London. It will subsequently be available on Supreme’s webstore. Sales will follow a “first come, first serve” policy, with a limit of one item per person. Given the buzz surrounding this partnership, it’s likely that this inaugural collaboration between Corteiz and Supreme is just the beginning of a fruitful relationship.
