Savour the World at the Al Baleed Culinary Festival 2024 in Salalah

Get ready to embark on a culinary adventure like no other, as Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara welcomes back the Al Baleed Culinary Festival this November. This luxurious retreat is once again transforming into a food lover’s paradise.

Following the buzz of the 2021 and 2022 editions, this year promises to be the most exciting yet, blending Michelin-starred brilliance with the authentic flavours of Oman.

With its 136 chic rooms, private pool villas, and suites, this beachfront oasis offers a perfect blend of modern luxury and Omani charm.

The 2024 edition is set to be a month-long feast for the senses, featuring some of the world’s most talented chefs, alongside rising stars from Oman’s vibrant culinary scene.

Meet the Chefs

This year’s festival welcomes a host of culinary icons from across Europe, each bringing their unique touch to Salalah’s shores:

  • Peter Gast (Graphite, Amsterdam): Known for his eye-catching dishes that celebrate seasonal ingredients, Peter will kick things off with Michelin Star dinners on 31 October and 1 November, plus a cooking workshop on 2 November.
  • Andrea Sarri (Restaurant Sarri, Italy): Andrea’s dishes bring the flavours of the Italian Riviera to life. Join him for a Michelin Star dinner on 7 November and a workshop on 8 November, where he’ll share his passion for seafood and coastal cuisine.
  • Florian Berger (Gabelspiel, Munich): Bringing a mix of classic French techniques and contemporary creativity, Florian’s dinners on 14 and 15 November promise to be a perfect balance of flavour and artistry. Don’t miss his interactive workshop to learn some kitchen secrets!
  • Nicolas Isnard (Auberge de la Charme, France): With Mediterranean influences at the heart of his cooking, Nicolas’s dinners on 28 and 29 November will bring a taste of France to Oman, along with an opportunity to get hands-on in his cooking class.

Omani Nights: A Celebration of Local Flavours

Every Saturday, Omani Nights at Sakalan Restaurant will bring together tradition and innovation, as local chefs put a contemporary twist on classic Omani dishes. Led by British-Omani food writer Dina Macki, these evenings will feature live entertainment and a line-up of talented chefs showcasing their takes on the country’s culinary heritage.
