Are you planning a cultural day in the capital? Whether you aim to explore attractions like The

itinerary upon arrival, consider booking a stay at Abu Dhabi EDITION, situated in the vibrant Al
Bateen Marina.
On a humid day, we sought the cosy vibes of dining, spa-time and coffee breaks at this
spacious hotel. As we pulled up to its modern architecture, we were warmly welcomed by
attentive staff at the tip of the curved atrium, who efficiently guided us through check-in.
Stepping into the lobby adorned with tasteful contemporary artworks, our attention was drawn to
a kinetic art installation hanging above—a mesmerising piece that evoked a sense of peace and
movement, reminiscent of a graceful bird in flight. We were also captivated by the Braided
Chair, a stunning creation by Emirati designer Latifa Saeed, inspired by traditional Emirati crafts
such as safeefa (palm leaf weaving), teli (hair braiding), and sadu (traditional weaving). These
artistic touches added a unique dimension to the lobby’s ambiance, enhancing its already
sophisticated atmosphere.
Our room, overlooking the calm marina, exceeded expectations with its spacious layout and
modern furnishings. Natural light flooded through large windows, enhancing the serene
atmosphere of the interior. We look forward to returning during the cooler months to enjoy some
quality time on the balcony, where we can watch yachts sailing by—it’s the perfect spot to perch
and take in the cityscape.
Dining at Abu Dhabi EDITION was a delightful experience, on all occasions. In the morning at
Market at EDITION, where we indulged in a breakfast experience featuring freshly baked
pastries, exotic fruit platters and made-to-order dishes such as Shaksuka and Market French
Toast.
In the evening, all roads lead to The Library Bar, with its speakeasy-style ambiance and unique
framed stories, offering an impressive Middle Eastern-inspired mocktail and cocktail menu
curated by head mixologist Ryan. Our selections included the refreshing Beautiful Mirage
mocktail and the Chocolata cocktail, which infused Middle Eastern flavours with carob and date
syrup, reflecting the region’s culinary richness. Next, we ventured to Alba Terrace, which turned
out to be a highlight for me. Here, we indulged in Mediterranean feasts that showcased fresh
produce and culinary variety. Our meal began with a delicious baked feta and tomato dish
followed by an octopus salad. Both dishes complemented each other perfectly, offering light yet
satisfying portions ideal for sharing. The perfectly grilled sea bream served as a delightful main
course.
In the evenings, the hotel transformed into a hub of activity, attracting coffee enthusiasts and
guests seeking to soak in the picturesque waterfront ambiance. This lively atmosphere added a
layer of charm to our stay, ensuring that every moment spent at Abu Dhabi EDITION was filled
with warmth and hospitality.
Beyond dining, the facilities at Abu Dhabi EDITION were equally impressive. The serene
ambiance of the spa, coupled with expert therapists, ensured a revitalising experience. Located
within the spa is the Rossano Ferretti hair salon, where I was treated to the Dolce repair and
nourish hair mask. Formulated with natural ingredients including vegetable extracts, keratin,
shea butter and green tea, the treatment was a luxurious addition to our retreat, leaving my hair
feeling silky smooth and revitalised. Rossano Ferretti hair salon provided more than just hair
care, it was a retreat within a retreat. The salon exuded luxury and tranquillity, with plush
seating and minimalist decor that complemented its serene atmosphere. Soft lighting and
soothing music enhanced the relaxation experience, while attentive staff ensured every guest
received personalised attention.
Whether unwinding at the spa, gathering for a delicious meal, or simply enjoying the captivating
views of the marina, every aspect of our experience was meticulously curated to deliver
excellence.
